Born and raised outside of St. Louis, Missouri, I fell in love with theatre when I was sixteen as a dancer in high school musical productions. This love pushed me to move half way across the country to pursue my B.F.A. in Theatre Performance at Florida Southern College. After a year of working in the university Scene Shop, my love for theatre shifted and I decided to double Major adding a B.F.A. in Technical Theatre with a focus in Scenic Design. After this shift I began working professionally during the summer months to build my practice as a carpenter for major regional theaters.
In my final year of Undergrad I applied for Graduate School through URTA. I am now in pursuit of my M.F.A. in Scenic Design and Technology from Kent State University. In addition to my academic work I have also continued my professional career as a freelance designer in Northeast Ohio. As of May, I hold the staff position of Director of Artistic Operation and Resident Scenic Designer for Rubber City Theatre in Akron, Ohio.
